With a population of almost 800, Hills is a small town that’s close to the action of the city. Hills Bank and Trust, founded more than 100 years ago, is headquartered on the town’s main street. Agricultural product supplier Stutsmans is also based in town. Other Hills businesses include a quilt and gift shop, a community center, and Old 218 Tap. There’s also a playground at the elementary school that’s within a short walking or driving distance of the residential neighborhoods.

If you need a change of scenery and pace, Iowa City is just eight miles north of town. Kalona and Riverside are also only a few miles away.
