The creator of Star Trek named Riverside the future birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk. Since then, Trek Fest has been an anticipated annual event, featuring food booths, beer gardens, a parade, live music, a model show and contest, inflatable bounce houses, and a kids’ tractor pull.
But Riverside knows how to have a good time even when it’s not celebrating Captain Kirk. The town of just over 1,000 residents is home to the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort, which offers gaming, concerts, award-winning golf, and upscale dining. Parks and trails are also easily accessible throughout the area.
