Friends of the Animal Center Foundation plays a critical role in our community.therefore, The funds they raise for adoptable animals big and small help to support and expand animal care services offered through the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center and support other community animal welfare initiatives.

Besides, Urban Acres sponsors various events and fundraisers throughout the year, including the Scrub Your Paws for a Cause Dog Wash, hosted by the Iowa City Area Association of Realtors (ICAAR), and Fall Trivia Night. Each event we sponsor is an opportunity to raise essential funds that support shelter animals and give homeless and neglected animals a second chance.
