Ellie Campbell, REALTOR®

The Mover and Shaker

When Ellie says she’s a mover and shaker she means it. Growing up, Ellie lived in seven states before her family settled down in Iowa City, so she knows a thing or two about moving—the chaos of buying and selling a home at the same time, the stresses of organizing all the details that need to be put in place, the emotion that comes with leaving a home, and the excitement of moving into a new one. She’s experienced it all firsthand many times and loves to use these personal experiences to connect with her clients and help guide them through the process.

Ellie prides herself on bringing a fresh and fun perspective to the industry whether it’s the house-hunting experience, marketing homes on social media, or simply being approachable to a younger client who might feel intimidated by the whole process.

Ellie is also a mover and shaker in the community where she’s deeply involved in organizations and volunteers her time with Greater Iowa City, Inc., Friends of Animal Center Foundation, Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® (ICAAR), and is a member of the Community Leadership Program Class of 2022-2023.

While Ellie wasn’t born in Iowa City, to her it’s always been her hometown. That’s because she has deep roots here. Her dad grew up in Iowa City, her parents met while they were students at the University of Iowa, and her grandfather was a resident at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. She’s also a 3rd generation Hawkeye who believes one of her strengths as a REALTOR® is the fact that she’s a unique hybrid of someone who grew up an Iowa City native and a transplant who spent her childhood elsewhere.

Before becoming a REALTOR®, Ellie worked in marketing and sales for Locals Love Us. She became an agent because she realized that real estate is about being there for people during a time in their lives that she is all too familiar with. Ellie knows a  REALTOR® is often someone’s first connection when moving to a new place. So, she’s passionate about helping clients through a transitional time in life, and also about helping them get to know the community along the way. Her goal is to help others find a house—and a home—in the Iowa City area just as she has.”

Ellie is married with one child and has a matching set of Weimaraner dogs, Ruby and Cheryl.

What Clients Say About Ellie Campbell

“As a first-time home buyer, Ellie was everything we could have asked for in a realtor and more! I would recommend her to anyone who will listen. She made such an intimidating process so easy and was so positive throughout the entire process. After several offers that did not get accepted in a crazy market, we found the perfect house. Ellie has continued to work hard for us even after closing. I look forward to working with her again in the future for any of our home buying/selling needs!”

— Emily Smith

She also worked extremely hard to help us find what we were looking for in a difficult market. We would 100% recommend Ellie to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the area. It was evident that Ellie has a passion for what she does and she truly cares about her clients. Thank you again Ellie!”

“Ellie was our realtor for my fiancé and my first home and we couldn’t be happier with our buy. She encouraged us to be honest and open to touring a variety of homes. I’m certain that if we hadn’t had Ellie working with us, we wouldn’t have found the house we can call ours.”
