Cedar Rapids

The City of Five Seasons and Abundant Opportunities

Cedar Rapids, nicknamed the ‘City of Five Seasons,’ is the second-largest city in the state of Iowa, and it’s flourishing. The metropolitan population is more than 130,000 people, but when combined with the neighboring towns of Marion and Hiawatha, that number jumps to nearly 200,000.

The city is home to a rich arts community that comes to life in places like the NewBo District, where you’ll find a city market, shops, and boutiques, as well as Czech Village, home to events, entertainment, and dining. Other area attractions for the arts include the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, Paramount Theatre, Orchestra Iowa, Theatre Cedar Rapids, and the African American Museum of Iowa.

Cedar Rapids is also a great place to watch sports. The city has various semi-pro teams, including the Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball team and the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders hockey team.

Looking for employment opportunities? Cedar Rapids is home to leading multinational company Collins Aerospace, trucking company CRST, leading life insurance and investments firm Transamerica, and the historic Quaker Oats mill.
